In today's quick video blog, I share some valuable insights from 'GRIT' by Angela Duckworth.
If you believe you cannot get started on your dream or achieve something difficult in your life, then her research should encourage you.
Angela Duckworth is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania and the Founder and Scientific Director of the Character Lab, a nonprofit whose mission is to advance the science and practice of character development. In 2013, Angela was named a MacArthur Fellow in recognition of her research on grit, self-control, and other non-IQ competencies that predict success in life.
“Without effort, your talent is nothing more than your unmet potential. Without effort, your skill is nothing more than what you could have done but didn’t. With effort, talent becomes skill and, at the very same time, effort makes skill productive.” - Angela Duckworth.
Find out why EFFORT counts twice and why it trumps talent and IQ as the factor most likely to predict success in the future.
